Viscose Dresses

At K&US, we love dresses—the ultimate classic garment for women. Viscose dresses, in particular, often drape beautifully, possessing a lovely weight that gives the wearer a proud, elegant feeling. We offer a selection of short, long, and midi dresses in viscose, aiming to provide styles and lengths to suit every taste. Sleeve lengths vary by season, and the pockets are placed exactly where they should be. We know so many of you love pockets, so naturally, we design our dresses with pockets whenever possible.

Unique design

When you wear a viscose dress from K&US, you know you are wearing a unique garment. All our clothes are created by our two designers at our studio in Södermalm. The dresses are then sewn by our skilled seamstresses in Lithuania. We often use surplus fabrics from Italy—materials left over from other production runs that find a new purpose with us. And then there are the patterns, of course. K&US viscose dresses come in every conceivable pattern and color combination—designs that are simply irresistible, at least to us!

What is viscose?

Viscose fiber is produced from wood pulp, such as spruce or bamboo. Viscose often drapes beautifully and feels soft and comfortable against the skin, while also being breathable. It is a material that can have a wide range of textures; it can feel coarse and slightly stiff, or even crêped with a subtly bubbled surface. However, viscose can also feel almost exactly like silk, offering a glossy, luxurious feel. The fabrics we source are typically EcoVero™—a type of viscose derived from FSC-certified forestry and produced in a closed-loop system where both water and chemicals are recycled. Additionally, water and carbon dioxide consumption are reduced by 50% compared to conventional viscose.

What are the benefits of a viscose dress?

When you buy a viscose dress from K&US, it is good to know that viscose is excellent when it comes to washing. Dirt comes off the smooth fibers easily, ensuring the garment gets clean even at low temperatures; washing your dress at 30°C is perfectly sufficient. Viscose also retains its color well and changes very little, even after repeated washes. This means you can enjoy your viscose dress for a long time to come!

How do I care for my viscose dress?

Machine wash your dress at 30°C with similar colors, but avoid washing it alongside rough garments—such as those with zippers—that could damage the delicate fabric surface. To be on the safe side, consider using a laundry bag or turning the dress inside out. Do not stretch or pull the dress while it is damp, as the material is more fragile when wet. After washing, you can safely iron your viscose dress on a medium heat setting. Finally, hang the dress on a wide hanger in your wardrobe to ensure it maintains its shape across the shoulders.
