Sustainable and long-term design
Can clothes be both well-designed, colorful and at the same time friendly to both people and the environment? We believe so.
K&US stands for timeless, relaxed design with fine shapes and ingenious details. Sophisticated bohemian, you could say. Natural, well-tailored and sustainable, but at the same time beautiful and with passion and thought in every detail. Our products should of course be of high quality, but at the same time we like the slightly wild and unadorned romantic. Our garments should preferably have a little patina right from the start.
K&US models feel luxurious in their unique design and their pure materials. The garments are for those of you who like clothes that make you feel a little extra good, day after day. You deserve it. We believe that when we feel a little better, it also creates beautiful ripples in the water, to the joy of many more.
We work with natural materials such as linen, wool, silk, viscose and organic cotton. We also design bags in vegetable-tanned leather and handmade espadrilles from Portugal. And then of course shawls…
But we don’t have time to do everything ourselves, we buy some products from other brands, preferably with a pronounced environmental focus. Denise Cruz, for example, designs her handmade jewelry within the framework of Fairtrade in Ecuador. We like that. From French Arche* we buy the most comfortable shoes a pair of feet could possibly walk in. Natural latex soles give off a nice cushioning and relieve your feet.
We believe that clothing design doesn't just have to be about new things, it can also mean long-term sustainability. Our clothes can be worn for a long time without becoming outdated and don't need to be replaced in the first place. Choosing clothes with care is also about protecting the environment.
We've come a long way when it comes to sustainability, but we're not done yet, we're still striving towards constant improvement that will benefit our environment - and make our garments even more wonderful to wear. If you then take good care of your garments, they will make you feel beautiful for a long time to come.
At K&US, we don't call it fashion, we call it lifestyle. A lifestyle for us who see the excitement in the unadulterated, colorful and natural.
