Most wardrobes contain a blouse or a shirt, and they come in a wide variety of materials. Viscose shirts and blouses, in particular, often drape beautifully and have a lovely weight that feels pleasant to wear. We offer a selection of shirts and blouses in various colors and fabric qualities, as well as different styles—such as fitted or straight cuts, short sleeves, V-necks, and designs with or without pockets or collars.
Unique and timeless design
No matter which model you choose, you get a garment featuring a unique Swedish design. All our clothes are created by our two designers at our Södermalm studio and then sewn by our skilled seamstresses in Lithuania. Over the years, we have expanded our range of shirt and blouse styles; they are now available in various lengths, ranging from long viscose shirts to shorter, more fitted viscose blouses. Colors and patterns vary widely between seasons—offering a vibrant splash of color—and our collections are produced in limited quantities. We often use surplus fabrics from Italy—materials left over from other production runs that find a new purpose with us. With a viscose shirt or blouse from K&US, you can be sure that your garment is truly one-of-a-kind.
What is viscose?
Viscose fiber is produced from wood pulp, such as spruce or bamboo. Viscose often drapes beautifully and feels soft and comfortable against the skin, while also being breathable. It is a material that can have a wide range of textures: it can feel crisp, slightly rough, and almost stiff, or even crêped with a subtly bubbly structure. Yet, viscose can also feel remarkably like silk—soft, lustrous, and luxurious. The fabrics we source are typically EcoVero™—a type of viscose derived from FSC-certified forestry and produced in a closed-loop system where both water and chemicals are recycled. This process also reduces water consumption and carbon emissions by 50% compared to conventional viscose.
What are the benefits of a viscose blouse or shirt?
When you buy a viscose blouse or shirt from K&US, it is good to know that viscose is excellent when it comes to washing. Dirt comes off the smooth fibers easily, ensuring the garment gets clean even at low temperatures; washing your blouse at 30°C is perfectly sufficient. Viscose also retains its color well and changes very little, even after repeated washes. This means you can enjoy your viscose blouse for a long time to come!
How do I care for my viscose blouse?
Machine wash your blouse at 30°C with similar colors, but avoid washing it alongside rough garments—such as those with zippers—that could damage the delicate fabric surface. To be safe, consider using a laundry bag or turning the blouse inside out. Do not stretch or pull the blouse while it is damp, as the material is more fragile when wet. After washing, you can iron your viscose blouse on a medium heat setting. Finally, hang the garment on a wide hanger in your wardrobe to ensure it maintains its shape across the shoulders.
